For Mastership candidates to receive participation credits the following assignment is to be photographically documented (also photograph patient x-ray).
Powerpoint presentations are recommended but slide presentations are acceptable. If a slide projector is needed please let us know in advance.
Credits may be applied to:
Esthetics or operative dentistry 0-37 hours
Occlusion can be used for up to 10 hours
Assignments partially completed, poorly documented, created, presented and substandard patient treatment will result in partial or no CE presentation credits awarded.
Assignment:
Be prepared to present, discuss treatment needs desired choices in materials and restorations for the following:
4 direct posterior restorations
Must include: pre-op photo, x-ray, prep finished, prep based if needed and final restoration. You must describe technique total etch verses self etching etc…choice of base or liners, restorative material used and polishing system.
1 indirect onlay or inlay
Must include: pre-op, x-ray, prep after base or buildup, final prep, temp and completed restoration.
3 or more units in 1 quad any type of indirect restoration
Must include: pre-op, x-ray, wax up if needed, preps, temps in place, final photos, temp material used, temp cement and choice of restorative material.
