Mastership Participation Assignment

October 2005 Seminar 

Adhesion Dentistry:

Presentations in Spring or Fall 2006

 

Credits may be applied to :

Esthetics or Operative Dentistry, 0-37 hr.

Electives 0-12 hrs.

 

Assignments partially completed , poorly documented, presented and substandard patient treatment will result in partial or no CE presentation credit awarded.

 

 

Assignment:

Be prepared to present and discuss the treatment needs, as well as the rationale behind the material choices for the following restorations.

 

Choose two of the following four options:

 

  1. 6 Direct Anterior restorations(bonded)
    1. utilize two or more resin shades on one of the restorations, or
    2. demonstrate a direct veneer approach to hide the restoration, or
    3. combine hybrid, microfil, or nanofil material for the effect of hiding the restoration.

 

  1. Two direct restorations, anterior or posterior
    1. Utilize different cementation/bonding for each restoration

 

  1. Demonstrate tooth preparation for a direct restoration, anterior or posterior, with a laser unit.

 

  1. Utilize the laser for soft tissue manipulation, either gingival sculpturing, crown lengthening, biopsy, etc.

 

    1. Photograph the pre op, immediate post op, and one week post op.
